Bill Simmons Reveals His New Website

Bill Simmons tweeted this morning: “My next website is called The Ringer – launches later in 2016. Check out our logo & sign up for our newsletter at TheRinger.com.”
The landing page is light on details, but does include this:
When Simmons was fired by ESPN, I wrote that he’d be better off striking out on his own, given his name and following. “Bill Simmons Media Group” gets him close. Last year it was reported that HBO, on which Bill will soon be launching a show, will back his media apparatus and website. Still, the name implies he has ultimate power. Sort of like how Auerbach was the managing executive, but the 1980s Celtics were really Bird’s team.
