Cecily Tynan Teases a Mysterious “Big News” Announcement

Yes. This is exactly what we need around these parts on a slow summer Thursday – a vague tease from a hugely popular personality.
The post already has 700 replies, because you know how people are with local meteorologists. They love their weather men, and weather women. They’re speculating that Cecily will announce her retirement, or join Good Morning America, or open a dog rescue center. A couple of folks surmised that she could join the Phillies, presumably to improve the team’s base running. Others are wondering if she will team up with Chris Sowers for… something. Anything. Like a podcast. Maybe.
Personally, I’m hoping the announcement involves any combination of Howard Eskin, Adam Joseph, and John Bolaris. As you know, Howard and Cecily have exchanged barbs in the past because the Burger King thinks meteorologists are “clueless.” Maybe Cecily will announce at 6 p.m. tonight that she’s stuffing Eskin into a locker after giving him STEM swirlie. And then Joseph vs. Bolaris is added to the UFC 330 undercard on August 15th. The loser of that fight will have to work the following weekend.
