Joey Merlino says he has receipts that the owner of Angelo’s, Danny DiGiampietro, is a rat. This follows comments in a recent Philly Mag interview with Victor Fiorillo that were cut “for the sake of length and out of legal concerns.” –
I can’t lie, Joey thinking the guy who owns Angelo’s is named Angelo made me laugh out loud. Did you know the person who invented Burger King isn’t in fact a king from the country of Burger?
Anyway, RADIO WARS is so 2015! CHEESESTEAK WARS is just starting to heat up! Merlino asked us to go read the Philly Mag article, so read it again we will:
What is the second-best cheesesteak in Philly? The current viral sensation is Angelo’s. What’s your review?
I’ve never been to Angelo’s. And I’m never setting foot in Angelo’s. [At this point, Merlino goes into a long and winding and profanity-filled tirade about Angelo’s owner Danny DiGiampietro that, for the sake of length and out of legal concerns, we’ll leave between the two of them.]
We’ve got Skinny Joey claiming he’s going to bring on the guy who Danny allegedly sent away. I can’t wait! I think we need a cheesesteak sit down between Skinny Joey and Danny. That’s how you solve these differences. Lets do it on the mic so we can set the record straight. Maybe Bradley Cooper can come, too.
