Hershey native Christian Pulisic scored the game-winner against Iran, then had to eventually be subbed out:

Holy shit was that game nerve wracking. Our guys played well in the first half, scored the goal, and then came out and absorbed a ton of pressure in the second half as Gregg Berhalter made defensive subs and just battened down the hatches for the final ten minutes and then NINE minutes of stoppage time, surviving a penalty shout in the process. It would have been a much better viewing experience for everyone’s blood pressure if that Tim Weah goal was not ruled offside, but alas, this will have to do.

Also, a quick shout out to the USELESS Haji Wright, who was jogging around out there like the game was a fuckin’ exhibition! 10 teammates defending their asses off and emptying the gas tank, and this joker is giving half-effort, like a stroll in the park. I don’t need to ever see him play for the U.S. again.

Anyway, United States vs. Netherlands in the World Cup knockout rounds. Our guys went three games in the group stage with 0 losses while conceding one goal, which was a penalty. It’s crazy when you think of it like that.
