Former sportscaster Don Tollefson has been released from prison and will spend the next month in a Chester County drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
Tollefson, 61, of Wyndmoore, was scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing in Warminster this week on charges he stole more than $100,000 through sports-related charity scams. Court records show Tollefson was granted permission this week to enter an in-patient program at the Malvern Institute.
Tollefson, records show, was accepted into the Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities program (TASC.) He will be monitored by prison officials while in the rehab center.
