When talking to PHL17’s Steve Highsmith today, former Governor and Mayor Ed Rendell said that if Roger Goodell saw the elevator video before handing down Ray Rice’s two-game suspension, he needs to resign. Rendell, who was Philadelphia’s District Attorney before his stints as Mayor and Governor, also told Highsmith that the video that TMZ released may have been enough for a prosecutor to convict Rice, even if his now-wife refused to press charges. Goodell has yet to issue any kind of statement.
