Another cut at 97.5 the Fanatic:

“4.5 years ago I started my journey at 97.5 The Fanatic. Today was my final day. While this was unexpected I was able to come out of college and work my dream job. Not many people get to do that. I love my morning show fam (chat too fam bam).I’m always wishing nothing but the best for everyone who works there. I’m not going anywhere with my Flyers/ESPN+ jobs. I LOVE radio. That I will miss. Go birds and thank you all for supporting me live out my dream. It did come true. How lucky am I?? – Haley”

+ there’s also so many ppl over the years who became family to me in sales, traffic, and promotions. Words can’t express how thankful I am for my time not only at 97.5 but xtu as well.

Haley was a jack of all trades at the Fanatic and worked part time at the station for almost five years. She did the morning show, weekends on the air, Flyers broadcast, Sixers broadcast, updates, social media, pretty much handling everything that needed to be handled. She’s a 2021 graduate of West by God Virginia University.

Sources we spoke to said the news was unexpected, but noted that Beasley has been cutting and cutting and cutting for years now. It follows a pattern of massive staff reductions as the media company looks to continually reduce costs heading into 2026. It was pointed out to us by more than one person that there aren’t a lot of women at the Fanatic to begin with, and now there’s one less, with Sylvana Kelleher on afternoon drive, Dei Lynam on weekends, and Amy Fadool of NBC Sports Philadelphia working as part-time host during weekdays.

As noted, Simon has additional gigs, covering the Flyers for Philly Sports Network and hosting the Locked On St. Louis Blues podcast. She also does color commentary and sideline reporting for the Sports Fan Base Network.
