Hero Maps Out the Best Gobblers in Philadelphia and Where to Find Them

It’s November and that means the Gobbler is back.
The hero behind DJourForMore.com has given you an interactive map of where to find the best Gobblers around the Delaware Valley. Not all heroes wear capes:

I love a Gobbler and if you don’t you’re wrong and hate Thanksgiving. You can’t say the word “Gobbler” without someone having an opinion. I don’t know how someone can look at delicious Thanksgiving leftovers piled on a sandwich and not think it’s one of the greatest technological advancements in the modern world. I’ll even up the ante and say this: It’s the only sandwich Wawa makes consistently anymore. Cholly knows:
Now thanks to the guy at Djour For More it’s easy to figure out where my next stop will be. That’s because he uses this rating system:
2. Overemphasis on Precision:
- The point scale suggests a higher level of precision than is often needed for subjective experiences like food quality, where small differences in score might not be meaningful to the average person. ☆- Local Favorites: Great for a casual outing when in the area, but not something to make a trip for. ☆☆- Hidden Gems or Standouts: Highly recommended in the greater area, but not quite worth a long journey.☆☆☆- Best of the Best: A staple experience that’s worth traveling from anywhere to try.
We’ve got local Gobbler favorites like Dolores 2nd Street, Poe’s Sandwich Joint, and the Collegeville Italian Bakery. Then you’ve got the best of the best. The ones worth traveling to, like Middle Child in Center City and Mighty Bread in South Philly. Look at these monsters:
And just because it’s Gobbler season doesn’t mean that there isn’t more on there. The food map has different filters for the best French onion soups, the best places for quizzo and date nights, halal trucks, and even more. You want the best chicken parm? Check this map out. You want the best birria tacos in the city? This is the map for you. I’ve been playing around with it for an hour and I’ve gotta say the recommendations are solid from spots I’ve been to. This is like if Yelp was actually good. Every time I go on that app it just spits the same 10 restaurants back to me that I’ve already tried. This map filters it out and since this guy is local Philadelphia I trust him way more. Since FOX retired the Galloping Gobbler I’m giving mine to D’Jour For More.
