John Kincade is Returning to Atlanta Radio
Per him:
“I will be returning to 680 the Fan, this Fall, and I am honored that I’m coming back…“
Kincade had a long stint at 680 the Fan back in the day, working with a guy named Buck Belue, who is a former UGA standout in both football and baseball. He played for the Bulldogs back in the early 1980s.
Taking a look at this week’s schedule, it looks like Belue is now hosting at 6 p.m. with a woman named Kelly Crull. So he’s still with the Fan but working a shorter shift outside of the main dayparts.
John doesn’t say what he’s going to go in the clip above, but we’ll find out soon enough.
The return is funny to me in a way, because there was this whole “when is Kincade coming home?” thing going on for many years. It was always suggested/rumored/insinuated that he’d work for WIP at some point, but he wound up at 97.5 the Fanatic for a half-decade, hosting the morning show between 2020 and 2026. It was during this same time period that his daughter completed her degree at Temple. Now he’s going back to Atlanta, the land of SEC football and Yankee transplants and insufferable Braves supporters. But at least he doesn’t have to talk Eagles 24/7 anymore.
“Should the Falcons bench Tua Tagovailoa? That’s up next on 680 the Fan. We’re taking your phone calls at (404) 231-1680“
