Now We Have a Complete Big 5 Basketball Schedule

With Temple and La Salle releasing their men’s basketball non-conference schedules on Wednesday, every Big 5 school’s non-conference schedule is now out. They’re all listed on the universities’ websites. I’ll hyperlink the schedules here: Saint Joe’s, Villanova, Penn, La Salle, Temple, and Drexel.

For some reason, though, there isn’t a website or anything that specifically lists the Big 5 matchups. What’s going on there? Why isn’t there a Big5sched.com or something? The closest thing we have is the Big 5 Classic page, which is a subcategory of the Xfinity Mobile Arena website.

(Before anyone yells at me in my email, I don’t think philadelphiabig5.org counts. Looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2006. There’s no Drexel on here, which is a telltale. Also, not only does this site not have the 2026 matchup schedules — it looks like it never included any schedules. Seems like it’s more of a history type of site. Not what I’m talking about.)

In any event, here’s the list:

Tuesday, November 10th, 2026 – La Salle Explorers at Villanova Wildcats

Saturday, November 14th, 2026 – Penn Quakers at Saint Joseph’s Hawks

• Time: 6:30 PM EST
• Venue: Hagan Arena

Sunday, November 15, 2026 – Temple Owls at La Salle Explorers

• Time: TBA
• Venue: John E. Glaser Arena / Tom Gola Court

Friday, November 20, 2026 – Saint Joseph’s Hawks at Drexel Dragons

• Time: 1:00 PM EST
• Venue: Daskalakis Athletic Center

Tuesday, November 24, 2026 – Drexel Dragons at Penn Quakers

• Time: 8:00 PM EST
• Venue: The Palestra

Tuesday, December 1, 2026 – Villanova Wildcats at Temple Owls

• Time: 1:00 PM EST
• Venue: The Liacouras Center

Saturday, December 5, 2026 – Toyota Men’s Big 5 Classic (Seeding Tripleheader Showcase)

• Time: TBA (Three consecutive games)
• Venue: Xfinity Mobile Arena

This will be the fourth year of the Big 5 Classic. Saint Joe’s won the first two and Villanova won it last year. It’s good stuff. I’m pro Big 5 Classic, and after going through all the schedules just now, I’m feeling amped about it. Exciting stuff. Excited to get this thing going. Just need a website.

Kinkead: I still think it’s a crime that some of these teams don’t play each other. St. Joe’s will get La Salle in A10 play, but otherwise it’s an outrage!
