Poll: What Do I Do About the Logo?
By Kyle Scott
Published:
No one likes the new logo. Even people who hate me (^) are coming to the rescue with critiques (or… mind-fucking me into thinking it’s bad when, really, it’s awesome?!).
I see only three options. 1) Do what Jony Ive did with the IOS 7 icons and just wait because people hate change, but the design – one of several created by a graphic designer, mind you – is actually brilliant in its simplicity. 2) Go back to the old logo or some variation thereof. 3) Hold a contest for readers to create and vote (if I get enough submissions) on the new logo, with the prize being either cash, tickets or free advertising for a freelance designer.
I like the contest idea, but no one ever follows directions. The Halloween costume contest sucked. I got some pictures, but literally not one person followed directions. Not one.
Anyway, I’ll leave it up to you to decide:
