RADIO WARS: Black Lives Matter Pennsylvania Is Meeting with 97.5 on Friday

Asa Khalif, the lead organizer of Black Lives Matter Pennsylvania, who earlier this month put a white hood on the Frank Rizzo statue in Center City, will meet with 97.5’s program director, Matt Nahigian, on Friday over “Dwayne From Swedesboro,” according to a source close to the movement. Khalif is seeking a suspension and race sensitivity training for Pat Egan, the person said. Otherwise, Khalif, who wants the Rizzo statue thrown in the Schuylkill and thinks Dwayne sounded like an “ignorant motherfucker,” plans to escalate things with a larger scale protest as early as Monday if his request goes unheeded.
