Schuylkill River Fishermen Can’t Stop Catching Potentially-State Record Catfish
By Kyle Pagan

The best thing to ever happen to the fishermen of Philadelphia is the Schuylkill Bridge expansion. Every day bigger and bigger catfish are coming out of that water after years of radiation, drinking the Schuylkill Punch, and feasting on delicious human remains the mob dumped in there. The rumors are this thing was 500 pounds of bottom dwelling fury:
According to the original poster on r/Philly, @Desperate-Dig-9389, this catfish was around 73.4 pounds and the current state record is 66 (I’ll update if the record becomes official).
Apparently, the Skook is a breeding ground for these big kahunas because these massive fish aren’t recent. There was a guy who caught one a couple days before who was waiting on the game commission to weigh for a potential state record. Apparently this one was 72 pounds:
HUGE Catfish caught off of new Schuylkill River extension bridge.

There’s never been a better time to catch catfish in the Skook. If you want to make a name for yourself in this city you better get down there stat and start casting a line. Good luck having a better time than this legend. The Bass Pro Shop hat, the jeans with a fresh coat of paint on them, and the heater in his right hand makes this guy an absolute legend:
