Terry McLaurin and the Commies Have a Deal

Let’s get it back to the NFL:
Not surprising. It was assumed they’d get a deal done at some point. Took longer than both sides probably wanted, but WR1 is presumably settled in Washington D.C., aka the swamp.
Of course, the most important number isn’t revealed yet. That’s guaranteed money. Three years “worth” $96 million could be whatever combination of incentives and various fluff they put in there. McLaurin was going into the last year of his deal this coming season, so you tack three more years on and that goes through age 33. Maybe there’s an option for 2028 or a reasonable out for the Commies if McLaurin’s production starts to dip at that point. We will find out soon enough.
Warshington opens with the Giants, Packers, Raiders, and Falcons. They’ll probably be 3-1 at the very least. They play at Kansas City and at Minnesota, plus the Lions at home in Week 10. The lame thing is the Philly game at Lincoln Financial Field doesn’t take place until Week 18, when one or both teams might be resting starters. You’d much rather play them early instead of the way it’s arranged now, but alas, that’s the schedule.
