The First Montco Sheetz is Officially Under Construction

Here we have a somewhat interesting drone shot of ground being broken at the first Sheetz location in Montgomery County. Video from about two weeks ago, according to Semmel excavating, who posted it Tuesday:
That’s about as compelling as dirt removal gets, but let not the significance be lost on you. This will be the first Sheetz location in a county that touches the Philadelphia border. Hitherto, the Sheetz erected furthest into Wawa territory is the one in Morgantown off the turnpike, which is part of the very southern portion of Berks County. There are no Sheetz locations in Montco, Chesco, Bucks, or Delco.
This will be the debutante, and there’s a second Sheetz planned for Downingtown with talks about a third on route 309 in the Hatfield area, just before you get to that bumblefuckish (but very peaceful) portion of central Bucks.
At this particular spot, there’s a super Wawa directly across the street. You can see a bit of the gas pumps in the corner of the drone shot:

Funny thing is there are THREE other super Wawas about two miles in each direction. There’s one down Lewis Road near the 422 entrance ramp, a second next to the Target at County Line Road, and then a third if you go further up to where the Philadelphia (Sanatoga) Premium Outlets are. So the ratio of Wawa to Sheetz within a brief radius will be 4:1.
The question is what kind of content do we make when this thing opens up officially. Do we send Pagan out there for Man on the Street: Limerick edition? Or do we send Russ instead and have him eat MTO Sheetz food until his arteries clog? Could be a good Instagram reel either way.
