Tracy Davidson Leaving NBC 10 After 29 Years

NBC 10:
After nearly 30 years with NBC10, longtime reporter and anchor Tracy Davidson is set to leave our station in the fall of this year to pursue a full-time career in public speaking.
Tracy made the announcement on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, and shared the following message:
Journalists are taught early on that covering the news is not about us. But today, I want to share a very personal and exciting decision I have made.
I’m coming up on 30 years here at NBC10. It has truly been the honor of my life to serve you and tell your stories. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and dedicated professionals, and being part of a community I deeply love.
I have decided to take my next step and pivot to full-time public speaking. For more than ten years, I’ve been leading personal development workshops for women and speaking to business professionals across the region and the country about resilience, leadership, listening, faith, and focus. In recent years, demand for this side of my work has surged, and it feeds my soul and allows me to continue serving others in a new way.
I won’t be leaving NBC10 until later this fall, but I wanted to share this now, with my immense gratitude for allowing me into your homes and your lives every day. Thank you for trusting us, for trusting me, and for being such an important part of my journey.
Davidson is a Philly television veteran. She’s been with NBC 10 since 1996, which is when the Dallas Cowboys last went to the Super Bowl. Incredible! She started and finished a three-decade career in local television before the Cowboys got back to the big game.
She’s a Temple grad and was honored in 2013 with the Lew Klein alumni award. She went into the Philadelphia Broadcast Pioneer Hall of Fame in 2015 alongside Pierre Robert, Don Cannon, Lynne Barrett, and more than a dozen others. Davidson has a long list of awards to her name, a trophy cabinet similar to that of DeVonta Smith.
What’s telling is that when Vai Sikahema retired back in 2020, he had been the longest-tenured talent at NBC 10. Davidson then entered the top three with Hurricane Schwartz and Bill Henley, both began in 1995. Hurricane retired in 2022, leaving Henley and Davidson as the OGs. With Davidson leaving, it’s now Henley, then a big gap between the next person. I don’t think there’s anybody left there who began in the 1990s, or even the early 2000s. It may be John Clark as the next in line now, but I’ll double check and try to confirm.
Let’s give Tracy Davidson a roaring round of applause for a great television run. Most impressive, perhaps, is that she didn’t appear on Crossing Broad a single time. That’s the measure of a steady and consistent career.
