Tragedy Averted at Combination Micro Wrestling + Hot Dog Eating Contest in Atlantic City

User @up_all_nite posted this to the South Jersey Reddit. There was a near-tragedy at A.C.’s Ducktown Tavern over the weekend:

In the comments, one person says that EMTs got the victim’s vitals restored and brought him to the hospital. Another person says that “the man made it and was talking to the owner of Ducktown by the end of the night.”
An eyewitness, U/beach_rats_ also chimed in with this:
I was there and my whole group thought it was a bit for the first 5 minutes, then we caught a glimpse of his face behind the paramedics and his whole face was purple. My buddy is an EMT and was there and said the way they were doing compressions, at the very least, he was dead and they may have brought him back. It was an extremely sad moment even though the whole crowd and me were already smashed
Good to hear that disaster was averted. Sounds like the EMTs did a great job saving this guy’s life. It would have been a terrible way to go, choking on a hot dog during an eating competition before a micro wrestling show in an Atlantic City parking lot.
Looks like the show itself was sold out. A wonderful crowd on hand for the “Knee High Knuckle Buster Micro Wrestling Championship,” brought to you by the Micro Wrestling Federation. Here’s some video of Carolina Reaper body slamming her opponents:
