Dude, that was awesome. The USA women won Olympic hockey gold with a late goal in the third period and then an overtime winner:

It’s too bad that second clip starts a little late because the outlet pass was sick and the catalyst for the goal. Then Megan Keller with some filthiness to win it all.

Team USA really did not look like themselves through the better part of two and a half periods. They came in as a -480 favorite and just seemed to have trouble settling into their game. They put enough shots on net, but it just felt a little janky and disjointed. They had to pull the goalie late in the third before Hilary Knight saved their asses. Same type of goal Rick Tocchet wants from the Flyers. Put a body in front of the goaltender and fire the puck into the mix and see what happens. Sometimes you just gotta throw it on net.

Great game, for real. Now the men gotta take care of business against Slovakia before presumably a Four Nations rematch with Canada.

USA! USA! USA!
