The Philadelphia Union open their 2022 season at home on Saturday afternoon against Minnesota United.

Yes, it feels like they just ended the 2021 season, because MLS has a short offseason to begin with and they went on the deepest playoff run in franchise history, coming one game short of a Cup final appearance. It was COVID that wracked the team and forced 11 guys out in super-shitty fashion.

Alas, here we are.

We’ve got two IASIP podcasts this week, first with Union color commentator Danny Higginbotham, who joined to preview the season and break down the depth chart. Later in the week, Telemundo 62 and NBC 10 meteorologist Violeta Yas hopped on the podcast to talk about soccer in Argentina and assorted topics:
