This ain’t your grandmother’s Philadelphia Union.

They went out on Wednesday night and hammered Deportivo Saprissa 4-0 in the CONCACAF Champion’s League Round of 16, advancing to the quarterfinals by a 5-0 aggregate score.

The Union mustered 14 shots, put eight on goal, and limited the short-handed visitors to a grand total of zero on-frame efforts. It was one of the best performances we’ve seen from this squad since they began play in 2010. I don’t even recognize them out there. I’m stunned!
