Here’s Jay Wright Being Nice to a Small Child

Good guy Fran Dunphy is getting heaped with praise after he graciously answered a question from 11-year-old reporter Max, who was working with SI for Kids in Brooklyn last weekend. To his credit, Dunphy, after a tough loss that dropped his all-time NCAA Tournament record to 3-16, gave an excellent, thoughful answer to this tiny scriptual. But the viral nature of Dunph’s response was a bit overkill, including Mike Sielski’s glowing column about it*:
So, me, Villanova grad, figured it would be worth mentioning that Jay Wright was also nice to this small person, tweeted a pic with him, and granted him a one-on-one interview [video]. Max also spent time in Villanova’s locker room and wrote about his experience covering the tournament.
Enjoyed the interview yesterday with Max Bonnstetter of Sports Illustrated for Kids – great questions Max! pic.twitter.com/304YXFVwxg

That’s all– just figured it was worth mentioning that Jay Wright, too, is a nice man.
