Imagine Having to Sit Behind Boban at a Basketball Game

Boban Marjanovic was at the Nova game on Tuesday night. The Cats almost blew a gimme against Marquette but rallied hard to improve to 19-5:
The broadcast said Boban was doing something with Bleacher Report, that’s why he was in the house. There was reportedly a TNT crew following him around campus and Jay Wright and others shared pictures with him. If you were out there on Tuesday and saw a 7’4″ guy, that was Boban. He’s not hard to miss. Imagine having to sit behind him at the game though? IG user @mattkart pointed out that it “sucks to be the guy sitting behind.” Hilarious. You could probably be 5 seats behind him and still not see anything happening on the floor.

Boban is 37 years old now. After he left the Sixers in 2019, he played for the Mavericks and Rockets before returning to Europe with Fenerbahce. Then he spent a season with Zhejiang Lions in China and is currently with a term called Ilirija in Slovenia.
Kinda funny to think he only played 33 games here and is still somewhat of a cult figure. Boban’s personality is as big as his physical stature. He had the long-running friendship with Tobias Harris and came over at the height of this Sixers “run,” when fan excitement was still there before they flamed out of the playoffs for the 15th straight season, or at least that’s what it feels like. I think Philly* will always make time for Boban whenever he’s around.
*Villanova is a Philly school. They have banners hanging in Xfinity Mobile Arena and still play there from time to time.
