We Zaprudered TikTok Video and Figured Out the Phillies Scrimmage Lineups

Feast your eyes on the rarest of footage in the Philadelphia area! Wilt’s 100 point game? Please. I’m talking about the Pete Rose Scrimmage. That’s what I’m calling it. We found out on Tuesday that there was going to be a wager on it and then Garrett Stubbs hilariously put “This one’s for Pete” on his IG story, which cemented it:

It will forever be known as the Pete Rose Scrimmage.
…and of course Nick Castellanos homered in it:
The Phillies sim game – which was eight innings – finished in a 5-5 tie. Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos homered off Tanner Banks in the final inning to allow the game to end in a draw.
Harper’s team wore powder blues, Kyle Schwarber’s wore pinstripes.

All we know right now is that the game finished 5-5 after eight innings. What happens with the wager? Who knows. Castellanos and Bryce Harper hit back-to-back home runs to tie it. Every reliever pitched but Jeff Hoffmann, who has a sore neck but should be good to go. Ranger Suarez looked good and Spencer Turnbull still has some work to do. Here’s some video from inside the ballpark from a couple contractors and vendors that I found on TikTok:

It was a back and forth battle. Powder blues jump out to a 1-zip lead in the 2nd. Pinstripes ties it up in the 3rd inning. Powder Blues take a lead 3-2 into the 7th and then Pinstripes comes back to tie it up in the bottom half. Pinstripes puts up two runs in the 8th and with their backs against the wall the Powder Blues tie it. Red October, baby! What a back and forth tilt! Describing that felt like I was there!
They had intros and showed the back half of the lineup, which on one squad was Edmundo Sosa, Kody Clemens, Cal Stevenson, Buddy Kennedy, and Rafael Marchan:

That was the starting lineups of the Pinstripe team since we see Alec Bohm warming up for six seconds next to Kody Clemens:

I zaprudered the film and can determine the Pinstripe lineup looked like this: LF Kyle Schwarber, DH JT Realmuto, 3B Bohm, CF Brandon Marsh, SS Sosa, 1B Clemens, RF Stevenson, 2B Kennedy, C Marchan. So that means the Powder Blues had C Garrett Stubbs, 1B Harper, 2B Bryson Stott, 3B Weston Wilson, SS Trea Turner RF Castellanos, CF Johan Rojas, LF Austin Hays, but who is the DH? I’m looking at the 40 man and the only guy not used is Rodolfo Castro who is on the IL. Did Rob Thomson suit up? The Phanatic? If you’re smarter than I am let me know.
I also think we found the wager disguised as the 50/50 drawing. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Phils’ ops staff decided to put it up there and put more pressure on the guys. It being $69k is a dead giveaway the daycare came up with the bet:
