Wings press release:

PHILADELPHIA (January 28, 2026– Today, the Philadelphia Wings announced they will be hosting “A Tribute to the Music of Taylor Swift” on Sunday, March 8 at 3:00PM as the Wings faceoff against the Oshawa FireWolves at Xfinity Mobile Arena. For fans seeking fun for the whole family, the Wings will host an unofficial tribute to Taylor’s music with a special postgame performance by live tribute band, Taylorville.

Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of Taylor Swift like never before! “Taylorville” is your ticket to a night filled with chart-topping hits and cherished deep cuts. This dynamic tribute band, armed with unmatched musical talent, takes you on a journey through Taylor’s iconic career. It’s a tribute that’ll make you sing, dance, and relive the magic of Taylor’s songs.

All fans who purchase a ticket to the game will have access to the postgame performance by Taylorville in their ticketed seat location. In addition, fans who purchase the “Taylorville” special ticket package will receive the below:

  • Ticket to Wings vs. FireWolves
  • Post‑performance meet & greet
  • Exclusive VIP bracelet
  • GA Pit access for the postgame performance

The Wings are really leaning into these musical promotions. They had Emo Night and KISS Night earlier this year and even the Flyers brought in a Phish tribute band that did really well, so why not keep it going, ya know? You have to be creative and figure out a way to get people in the building for the Wings games especially, because that team ain’t doing shit this year. They’re 1-5 and tied for last place in the league, so really if you think about it, this is more like “Wings Night at the Taylor Swift Tribute.”

Is that harsh? Dunno, but the Wings have been bang-average since they came back to the city. They’ve really been a disappointment.

Fire the coach! Fire the GM! Trade all of the players!

One thing Comcast-Spectacor is doing here is hitting on a variety of musical styles, and that’s commendable. Emo, Rock, Pop – there’s always something for everyone. Personally, I’d go for a “nu-metal” night with Limp Bizkit and Korn tribute bands. The first 5,000 fans who dress like a wigger get a free backwards hat. It’ll be awesome!
