Your Friday Morning Roundup

The Sixers returned to action. And so did the Tobi and Bobi show.
Tobias Harris led all Sixers with 23 points and added 11 rebounds while Boban Marjanovic had a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards in a 106-102 win over the Miami Heat. 16 of those points came in the first half.
Others stepped up in Joel Embiid’s absence. Ben Simmons was the other Sixer with 21 points, Jimmy Butler added 18, and JJ Redick put up 13.
As mentioned, it’s the first game without Embiid, who will miss at least a week. The team has Portland, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and Golden State in the next week, a very tough stretch for the Sixers who are looking for at least a top four seed. I really hope Embiid returns for the OKC game just to see him and Russell Westbrook beef again.
But let’s take this one game at a time. Portland is up next on Saturday at 1 PM.
As for the franchise itself, it’s ranked 12th in value according to Forbes.
The Roundup:
Unlike the Sixers, the Flyers sucked. Again.
Carter Hart sucked. Again. The team lost to the Canadiens 5-1 and trailed 3-0 after the first. Hart stopped 6 of 9 shots and was pulled for Brian Elliott. Again.
Michael Raffl had the lone goal.
Up next is the Stadium Series game at the Linc against the Penguins Saturday night. But that could get postponed to Sunday due to rain in the forecast. We’ll see how it goes.
Good news, the Phillies play a Spring Training game today! Bad news, it won’t include Bryce Harper.

Speaking of Harper, there’s growing confidence that the team will sign him, hopefully soon. And despite some reports (Jon Heyman) saying he’s thinking twice about playing in Philly, that’s not the case.
The Eagles also got involved to tell Heyman to shut up.
