Your Tuesday Morning Roundup

The Phillies defeated Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers last night. No, you didn’t read that wrong. The Phillies actually did earn the win over one of the best pitchers in the game last night at Citizens Bank Park, 4-3, thanks to a big grand slam from Aaron Altherr. Not only is it a rarity for a team to earn a win against Kershaw, but Altherr going yard with the bases juiced was even farther fetched:
Aaron Altherr's grand slam was the first Clayton Kershaw has allowed in his Major League career.

The Phillies fans also still really like Chase Utley, as they should, and showed that last night:

Tonight Yu Darvish faces Aaron Nola in the second game of the series. I’m smelling a Rhys Hoskins homer.

Tyler Trumbauer is a young Philly sports junkie who didn’t believe in the Process, but now is grateful that Sam Hinkie died for his sins. He’s aptly described as a guy with a little talent, a lot of luck, and great timing.
