The Eagles had Carson Wentz mic’d up on Sunday, and it would appear that Wentz had better get his checkbook out, because he twice stated that he would give Jake Elliot his game check if the rookie kicker made his game-winning field goal attempt:
We had @cj_wentz mic'd up for #NYGvsPHI and, well, just listen for yourself. #FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/jEyB1msn1o

Not including bonuses, Wentz earns a base salary of $540,000. NFL players are paid on a weekly basis, 17 times per season. Therefore, using math, it would appear that Wentz owes Elliot $31,764:
That'll be $31,764.71 made out to J-A-K-E E-L-L-I-O-T-T. https://t.co/d1xbMVO1T9

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Give a man $31k… buy him a gently used BMW 5-series?
Side note: All-in on players offering in-game stakes to boost performance. I feel like the league will crack down on this sort of thing, but for now I fully support players initiating micro transactions on the sidelines. There’s got to be an app for that.
