Consider this a spinoff series to Did Chip Kelly Do Something Unconventional Today? as we chronicle everyone doing what Chip does. WWCD?

Chris McPherson of PhiladelphiaEagles.com:

It has been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Other teams around the league wasted no time watching the film and utilizing the Eagles’ offensive concepts. The Dolphins lured quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor to Miami to install the same offense. The Packers hired a nutritionist. The Browns are monitoring their players’ sleep patterns. The Falcons brought in an outside firm to administer a sports science program.

Sure, that came from the Eagles’ website, but it’s spot-on. It’s not just a coaching-up-tempo thing, it’s a worldview that says, Hey, our tactics are stuck in the 1960s, let’s maybe rethink some of this stuff. Some of these changes are obvious and inevitable (nutritionist), but others will become the norm largely because Chip blazed the trail. 10 years from now, expect every team to have its players wearing sleep and heart monitors. Hell, 10 months from now we may all be wearing them.

Somewhere, Andy Reid buys a party bucket of Cheetos for his players.
