Delightfully Jolly International Reporter: Will you play next year in the NBA for the Sixers or not?
Saric: After this tournament, I will meet with my manager, I will meet with my parents and I will book the tickets for the United States to visit my teammates who is in the Summer League in Vegas.
DJIR: Yes or no?
Saric: YES!
This is such a strange saga. Here we have Dario Saric – LITERALLY – saying that he’s coming to play for the Sixers and will join them in Vegas for the Summer League. And yet, that flies in the face of a recent report from Tom Moore of the Courier Post, who cited a source relying on the apparent greed of Saric’s father to draw their conclusion on Saric won’t come.
Saric himself in the interview mentions talking to his parents, so perhaps he’s like so many kids trying to talk their parents into something they want to do but which might not make the most practical sense (since he can earn more money by staying in Turkey for another year).
This is getting old, though. Just make a final decision and make it end. Then again, “YES,” is about as decisive as you can possibly get. Just come already.*
