Last year, the Flyers offered unlimited additional playoff strips to season ticket holders, with the goal of guaranteeing as many first round sales as possible.

What a difference a year makes.

Due to the overwhelming increase in season ticket demand, things are a little more stingy this year. The Flyers recently sent the above email to season ticket holders who renewed for the 2011-2012.   In addition to purchasing their own seats on a round-by-round basis, season ticket holders are limited to a maximum of two full playoff (16 game) lower level strips or two half playoff (8 game) upper level strips.  The upper level is more affordable to the average fan, so these usually go quicker.

In addition to limiting the availability of tickets, the Flyers required season ticket holders to renew their tickets for next season (with a $200 deposit) in order to be able to purchase the additional strips, which go on sale Friday from 10 to noon.

Of course, Crossing Broad Tickets will have an unlimited supply of Stanley Cup Playoff tickets here.
