Ah yes. Let’s piss on the flames of silly.

I normally love a good feud. A strong beef, if you will. So, over the past year or so when LeSean McCoy and Osi Umenyiorirmatisyahu have gone after each other on Twitter and through the media – Shady called Osi “soft,” Osi called Shady “Lady Gaga” and a “Chihuahua” – I sat back in my chair and watched, excitedly, as the best Eagle traded glancing (and somewhat lame) blows with a New York Giant.

Last night, as the focus of an ESPN E:60 segment, McCoy and Umightbeamenora continued their feud, which has now taken a turn to silly city.

First, both players addressed the war of words, with McCoy somewhat humorously shrugging off 310toyuma’s weird comments about pop stars and small dogs: “Yeah, he’s corny.”

Agreed.

But then again, so is McCoy: “Yeah, this is for real. I don’t like Osi. I don’t know how he feels. He might think it’s a game, but I don’t play them type of games. So, every time on the field, I would say stuff to him. Like, you’re the third best defensive lineman on the defense, which I didn’t lie. I did lie. Because he’s like fourth now, so I actually did lie.”

McCoy continued: “Osi, to be honest, he is a good player. I think he thinks he’s better than what he really is. You know, I think he’s a ballerina in a Giants uniform. Other than that, that’s all I got to say about Osi.”

Great– ballerina. So here we have two of the best players in a storied rivalry lobbing shots at each other about being Lady Gaga, a mom, a Chihuahua, and now a ballerina. I’m over this.

Credit to ESPN for their use of caricatures in the piece, though. Watch it here.
