I’m Trying To Fix This Goddamn Ad That Is Screwing Up The Mobile Site

A whole bunch of people have tweeted and emailed me over the past few days about pop-up ads that take you away from the site. They seem to be only on mobile (as is usually the case). This is not intentional. We use three different ad networks, all of which restrict that type of ad, but sometimes these sorts of things slip through and have to get weeded out. If you’ve had something like this happen to you, send me a screen shot so I can alert them which ad or ads are doing this. Sorry about that! CSN Philly website just threw me four popups before I could call up a story. Fires off random videos. Great writers — but terrible website.
