NY Giants FAIL
By Kyle Scott
Published:
So… the Giants and Jets built a new stadium, and apparently they took a few cues from Wrigley Field (which opened in 1914…) by placing columns in sections to support the stadium's upper deck.
In all, 59 seats are obstructed and will not be sold to fans. How does something like this happen in 2010? Take a look at Citizen's Bank Park as an example, see any pillars? No. There are plenty of engineering advancements that guard against this, so obstructed views are a thing of the past.
The stadium's designer said the seats were placed behind the posts as a temporary precaution for workers in the area and will be replaced with metal railings before opening. Yeah, ok.
Thanks to reader Hudson Finlaw for pointing this out.
