RADIO WARS: Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie Will Host WIP’s New Mid-Day Show, Michael Barkann Out
By Kyle Scott
Published:

Joe DeCamara and former Eagle Jon Ritchie will co-host the new WIP mid-day show starting on Monday, sources say. DeCamara recently left 97.5 and it was speculated that he would head to WIP. Ritchie has worked on Pro Football Talk TV, DirectTV’s NFL coverage, and co-hosted on the radio with Artie Lang. He’s also been a fill-in host on WIP. He will continue with his DirectTV work on weekends, but will live in Philly.
To make room for the new show, Michael Barkann has been let go by the station. Barkann is under contract through next summer, so this appears to be strictly a programming decision.
Ike Reese will move to afternoons and will be part of WIP’s new afternoon show. His co-host(s) will be named in the coming weeks. Things are changing. THE SOUNDS BLARE:
