Report: The Eagles Will Likely Sign Mark Sanchez

The Chip Kelly era has taken a turn toward the weird. Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter are reporting that, pending a physical, the Eagles will sign Mark Sanchez to be their backup quarterback.
The official reason Sanchez was released by the Jets was listed as “failed physical,” but Mortensen says this was just protocol as Sanchez is about 80 percent recovered from labrum surgery. No word on his recovery status from being a toolbag and a terrible quarterback.
If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to wash this sudden bad taste out of my mouth.
