I’ve got to be honest, I’ve ratcheted down my Sidney Crosby hate – we all have – mostly because these last few years we’ve come to realize that we would give our left and maybe even right testiculars for a player of his caliber. Lo, it became easy to forget what a colossal BITCH he is:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS? The ref was standing right there. How do they come out of that with concurrent minors? If you ever wanted evidence that league favoritism can drastically alter outcomes, look no further than this sequence (but ignore the 6-0 whopping the Penguins laid on the Predators). I’m gonna steal a line from my neighbor, whom I watched the game with last night– imagine being a black guy new to hockey, turning on the game, and seeing this. The one black guy on the ice getting his cranial pounded by a Canadian shithead, and then him getting the same penalty as his assailant. I get that Crosby is a non-discriminatory offender, but the optics on this are not good. Great product from the Shield last night. Give me my NBA tonight. At least they call it after LeBron takes his fifth consecutive step without dribbling. Sometimes.
