Just in case you’re wondering if you read that correctly, you did: The Eagles’ new head coach will require assistance in putting his staff together because, well, gosh, he’s never done that before. And we haven’t even gotten to the fact that Jeffrey Lurie has swapped a Chip Kelly-Tom Gamble personnel-coach tandem (now in San Francisco!) with a Doug Pederson-Howie Roseman duo. Anyone want to seriously argue for the latter?

Site note: I had a long, drawn out, and rambly post about the whole coaching situation mostly written and was going to put the finishing touches on it this morning. But, it sucked. I wrote mad yesterday and, upon further review, the post read like something Steve Avery would’ve written his wife from jail. It was all over the place and curiously violent. So, we’re going to podcast (v.) today and unpack these thoughts. In the meantime, since I already blew my grammatical load, I’m just going to post every nugget that gives me less and less confidence in what the Eagles just did. Consider this series the antidote to our Did Chip Kelly Do Something Unconventional Today? theme. ??
