Things Got Real Awkward Between Steve Keeley and Mike Jerrick This Morning
By Jim Adair

It’s snowed, so – as is tradition – Fox29 sent Steve Keeley out to do something zany. Mike Jerrick was in the studio wearing a pink/purple sweater that’s getting some good-spirited guff on Twitter:

All good fun. Keeley wanted in. So he said Mike’s sweater reminded him of a gay joke from his grade school days, and at no point in setting it up did he realize how terrible of an idea it was. Behold:

We caught more of the aftermath here:
God bless Mike Jerrick, whose ability to find the line and hold it has no rival. He knew he was in danger of becoming a homophobic meme and quickly turned himself into a little teapot, short and stout.
Good Day Philly thrives on the awkward sometimes, this was on the other end of the spectrum. Here’s a palate cleanser:

Post Script: There’s no way Keeley was going to realize how out of bounds and awkward that was if you subscribe to my theory that Steve Keeley is a robot from the future sent back in time to do some kind of dangerous mission. However, they haven’t quite perfected the skin substitute in his era, and the leathery, grain-like texture covering his machinery didn’t protect the inner robotics from all of that snow. It effected his CPU and his mission is now lost to history.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
