A Brief Photographic Account of Phillies Phestival 2010

Kyle | May 25, 2010

Yesterday evening, the Phillies organization hosted a fundraiser at Citizens Bank Park to strike out ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Another rousing success, it was estimated that over 7,000 fans participated in the festivities.

During this 3-hour event, players are seated at various locations around the stadium to sign autographs and be bombarded by the flashes of multiple digital cameras, mine included. Fans are also encouraged to take part in the live and silent auctions, which boast an array of rare Phillies memorabilia, game tickets, and yes, even the chance to dance with the Phanatic on the dugout.

Rather than waste precious time standing in line, I opted for a frontal photo attack of the players, some of which even obliged me with a smile (Love you, Poppa Moyer!).
