good hes a bum anyways. I think we are better without him in the line up. We can actually get somebody on the ice that actually has a little bit of skill.
They should let that kid Ben Holmstrom play. I went to the game vs. Toronto when he played. Really physical and at this point, I think he would be more of an asset than Zherdev or Nodl.
Did he have plastic surgery, given he looks like the southbound end of a northbound horse?
Zherdev? Yes (depending on Nikki’s mood at the moment). Nodl? Maybe. Nodl’s play may not translate into G/A’s, but I like how he moves the puck to make plays. Look at his decent +/-.
The Flyers will be OK without Shelley and hopefully Car-bomb will step-up in his place, and follow Shelley’s 5 Rules of Fighting: http://articles.philly.com/2011-02-09/sports/27328811_1_nhl-martial-arts-fight
Ok first off anybody who thinks carcillo is more useful/valuable than shelley knows nothing about the game. while losing shelley isnt that bad, you do lose a guy who can kill penalties, forecheck hard, he doesnt make too many mistakes, he does the job hes asked to do night in and night out. not to mention hes the only player on the team who can actually fight. Carcillo sucks all around, he may be fast, but hey so is braydon coburn and we all know what a great asset to the team he is…i rest my case.
1. Jody Shelley does not play on the penalty kill – that’s Richie/Giroux and Betts/Powe. And if one of those guys gets a penalty, Versteeg goes in.
2. Why do you need a guy who can only fight when you are playing playoff hockey? So if Giroux gets run at, he can fight the other team’s fighter instead of the guy who hits Groo? Carcillo’s much better in this aspect – he doesn’t only fight “fighters,” the guy that took a run might actually fight him.
3. Carcillo’s job as a pest is much more important than Shelley’s job as a “fighter.” Carbomb can actually skate, and takes the opponent off their game. He’s much more valuable to the team and is much more of a defensive presence than Shelley.
4. You’re stuck in last year. Coburn’s been on fire lately, particularly as of late.
i am a dumb idiot. sorry me:((((

If that’s not contradicting yourself, I don’t know what is.
Carbomb can prevent the stars from getting killed, yea right. Your edge is only as good backup is and if thats carbomb, then good nite Philly.
