Trade May Have Saved Jerome Harrison’s Life, Physical Reveals Brain Tumor

Sometimes the world works in mysterious ways.

ESPN is reporting that the reason the Jerome Harrison-Ronnie Brown trade wasn't approved by the Eagles was because a physical on Harrison showed that he had a brain tumor, according to ESPN’s sources.

Wow.

Without the trade, Harrison would not have undergone a physical.

Just think about that for a second: If Ronnie Brown hadn’t made a bonehead play that made him fall out of favor with the Eagles, they likely wouldn’t have traded him, and – just maybe – Harrison’s tumor would have never been discovered. Or at least discovered when it was. Unreal.

Harrison will not play again this season, but his long-term prognosis is good, according to ESPN’s source.
