Perhaps Jonathan Papelbon will be close enough to get sprinkled by some of Cliff Lee’s morning excellence.
If you think that’s an uncomfortable lede… then you’re probably right.
Anyway, Paps (is that what we’re going with?) bought a $4.65 million condo at 1706 Rittenhouse, the same building inhabited by one Lee, Clifton Phifer.
That new $50,000,058 contract allowed Paps to upgrade– last month, he sold his Fenway-themed Boston condo for around $3.1 million. No word on where his alter ego, Cinco Ocho, is going to live. Perhaps on 58th street. Heyyo.
And if you're still thinking that it sounds weird to be talking about Jonathan Papelbon, the Phillie– you're not alone.

No way he should live on 58th street. He’d never make it to a game.
He’s not quite as commited as Halladay, who owns a house and practicing at Clearwater already.
the first line says it all.
