On the SEPTA spot, the idea is to put your best foot forward, not to highlight your shortcomings. Marketing 101…you can probably take it on line.
I love G’s shift against the Pens, but it was in no way better than that Richards’ one against Montreal in my opinion.
Down 1-0, shorthanded, in a potential Conference Finals clinching game in which he delivers a huge hit, and then later on dives with no regard for his body at the end of a shift.
It turned the entire game around.
Sure, G’s was against the rival Pens, but it was a 0-0 game and was also in the first round of the playoffs.
And all Richie’s shift against Montreal basically got us into the Finals. Bigger stage, bigger result, bigger shift.
People need to get off Richards’ back already. He darn near won us a Cup in 2010. I’m happy that he won a Cup, even if it wasn’t with the Flyers. He’ll always be a Flyer in my book.
And that trade has panned out pretty well for the Flyers, to say the least. That is probably the subject of the line of questioning that he was hoping to avoid.

Also, I love how Flyer fans boo Jeff Carter. A guy who signed a 12 year deal with a no trade clause, makes his home in Sea Isle, and didn’t want to leave. Pretty sure nobody on this current team even makes their home here in the offseason. Dopes.

Schenn + Simmonds> Richards and Voracek + Couturier > Carter. It’s pretty simple how they won those trades. They got better, younger and cheaper players in return. Just because they also fucked up signing Bryz and shipping off Bob doesn’t mean they lost the Carter and Richards trades.
The way those self-righteous jerkoffs treated him while he was here, I can’t blame Richards for not wanting to talk to them. They can go fuck themselves.
