And the Phillies have now come full-circle.
On this weekend four years ago, with the Phillies just reaching their full potential as the best team in baseball, Roy Halladay threw a perfect game against the Marlins, and the Phillies improved to 28-20. Today, it was former Marlin Josh Beckett who threw the no-hitter, against the Phillies, who fell to 21-26 and have now been shutout five times in their last 10 home games and six times in their last 18 games overall.
After the game, signs of rock bottom:
But congratulations to Beckett, even though he no-hit a team that at times looks like it could be no-hit by a beer league softball pitcher with a nasty spinner.
