Crossing Streams (Episode 22): Special Guest Tony Bruno

Crossing_streams_v2_i

Jim and I talk with Tony Bruno, who discusses leaving 97.5 The Fanatic, their “insulting offer” which he considers a breach of contract, his upcoming podcast, our affiliation, the ludicrous way the radio industry estimates ratings, moving back in with his mom (literally), his WIP days, Keith Olbermann, and a whole bunch of other stuff. This is a good one.

  1. So basically 97.5 would rather save money and pay Marks and Brace, then pay Tony and get ratings. Terrible decision by 97.5, are there any listeners anymore from 10-2? Let alone their problem with Mikey Miss later in the day….

Bruno and Mayes would have locked up #1 slot 10-2 with ease if they paid Tony and gave them 4 hours.

  2. Seems like the fanatic is mailing in the 10-2 programming. Baldy is not a good fit for Harry and Westbrook puts me to sleep (also, they might want to have a person in studio as the sound quality for Baldy and Westbrook is terrible). Jon and Sean? Spend 2 minutes listening to that nonsense and you will see what I mean.
