These Are the Best (and Worst) Things the Phillies Are Auctioning Off
To raise money for Phillies Charities, the Phils are auctioning off some truly awesome experience… and some other things. First, the great stuff:
- 30-minute hitting clinic from Chase Utley – We assume it’ll also be okay if you just wanna, like, stare at his face [editor’s note: butt] the whole time.
- Dan Baker will announce the first two rounds of your Fantasy Draft – Only the first two rounds because your draft takes forever and Baker has places to be, dammit.
- Throw a ceremonial first pitch – You can even botch it really bad on purpose and hope for internet fame.
- Be in the Phillies’ 2015 team photo – “You will have the option to be dressed in your own personal Phillies uniform or in a clubhouse staff uniform.” WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE A STAFF UNIFORM?
And then, there are some slightly less interesting ones, like the chance to PAY to be an intern for a day (remember when people bitched about the unpaid CB internship program?), a private hitting(?) clinic with Ryan Howard, and more. There’s a bunch more here, but you might have to outbid Kyle for those Taylor Swift seats.
