For many Eagles fans (and probably Chip Kelly), it stung big when Marcus Mariota landed in Tennessee and not in midnight green. I know Kyle is considering suing the Titans for loss of t-shirt revenue [Editor’s note: I estimate it cost me $10k, just through the end of 2015… mostly because I can’t sell this beauty.] It’s been rough. The main question before the draft was whether Mariota could function successfully in an offense that doesn’t necessarily fit his strengths. Like the Eagles.

But as Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report writes, the Titans are really rubbing it in:

In early April, a few weeks before the draft, the Titans offensive coaches began a series of meetings. Since it had become evident by that time that a good chance existed the team would select Mariota, the coaches started work on a Mariota plan. They studied the system he operated at Oregon, then looked at teams like the Eagles, Dolphins and Bengals that used similar concepts at the NFL level. Then they considered how they could make their offense more Mariota friendly by borrowing from these pioneers of offense.

So yeah, the Titans stole our quarterback and our offense, too. Damn you, Ken Whisenhunt.
