South Jersey D-1 Football Recruit Announces Commitment Using Banner Plane
There are many ways to commit to a college sports program. You can just announce it. Take to social media. You can pull out the jersey of one program as a fake out before actually declaring with another jersey. But when you’re from the Jersey Shore, there’s one way to do it: Banner plane.
Four-star recruit Ahmir Mitchell of Cedar Creek High was trying to decide between rivals Ohio State and Michigan, so he enlisted Bleacher Report to help him announce it via banner plane over Atlantic City. It’s a cool way to show your local pride while also showing your determination to make something of yourself. And it was the only plane in the sky that day not advertising a pretty sweet lobster dinner deal.
