Dez Bryant May be Investigated for Literal Monkey Business
Dez Bryant had a busy Sunday. Not playing football, but yelling, and then yelling some more, and then getting PETA’s attention.
According to the New York Daily News, Bryant may be investigated at the request of PETA for “keeping a monkey as a pet without a special-use permit.”
Bryant made headlines after the game for first appearing to mock Ricardo Lockette while he was down with a spinal injury, and then lashing out at the media in the locker room, screaming at them from across the room. And now, monkey business.
The monkey, seen below reacting to what Dez reportedly yelled about Ricardo Lockette, is named Dallas because Dez isn’t creative.

PETA got in touch with DeSoto Animal Control in Texas “to request that it look into the wide receiver’s ‘possible illegal possession’ of a monkey.” Brittany Peet of PETA told NFL.com that “Monkeys belong in the wild — not (for) football players who acquire exotic animals just to make a splash on Instagram.” Bryant now joins the illustrious company of other famous monkey owners Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber. Great company.
The Cowboys are 2-5.
