Brent Celek Gets (A Lot Less) Paid
By Jim Adair

Hot on the heels of Zach Ertz’s big payday, Brent Celek got himself a big payday:
#Eagles and TE Brent Celek agreed to a 3-year, $13m deal with $6m guaranteed, per sources.

Celek was due to make $4,925,000 for a $5 million cap hit next year before becoming an unrestricted free agent, so this new deal seems like a restructure that lowers his cap number number as a trade-off for two more years of being under contract. Say what you will about Howie Roseman (please do) but he’s working some decent cap management here.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
